Juvenile Justice Project with Cordaid Phases In (January 2009)

The PST CRRC is embarking on a two-phase project with Cordaid starting in January 2009. The project entitled Linking and Learning Experiences on Juvenile Justice in the Philippines with Cordaid Partner Organizations involves 1) documenting the best practices of Cordaid's partner organizations in the Philippines in terms of their intervention and prevention programs for children in conflict with the law and 2) developing educational materials to be used in delivering Juvenile Justice Training for the community and the Five Pillars of Justice.

The project is set to run for the next four months. Cordaid and PST CRRC will explore the possibility of publishing the output of the projects at a later date.

Cordaid is a Netherlands-based international development organization that has been providing emergency aid and structural poverty eradication programs in 36 countries in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe and Latin America. In the Philippines, it has been supporting the juvenile justice programs of Ateneo's Institute on Church and Social Issues, Bahay Tuluyan, Pangarap Foundation, Childhope Asia Philippines, PREDA Social Development Foundation, the Cebu-based Court Appointed Special Advocates, Tambayan in Davao City, and Pasali Philippines Foundation in General Santos City.
